CREDICORP Launches C.L.I.C.K.D Scheme To Provide Laptops On Credit

The Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, has launched a new device financing initiative aimed at expanding access to digital tools for Nigerians.

The scheme, known as C.L.I.C.K.D. (Credit for Laptops, Internet, Connectivity and Knowledge Digital Devices), was unveiled on Monday, July 21, 2026, at the Afreximbank African Trade Centre (AATC) in Abuja.

The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Federal Government’s Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme. It is designed to provide qualifying Nigerians with affordable consumer credit for laptops and other internet-enabled devices, removing the high upfront cost that has prevented many from participating fully in the digital economy.

Focus On Locally Assembled Devices

According to the organisers, the programme will begin with locally assembled laptops and will later expand to cover other categories of digital devices and connectivity tools. The emphasis on local assembly is aimed at promoting local manufacturing and strengthening Nigeria’s technology ecosystem.

The first phase of the programme targets fellows training under the Learn2Earn platform, many of whom are acquiring digital skills but lack access to the devices needed to complete their training and transition into jobs or entrepreneurship.

In collaboration with Fidelity Bank as the credit administration partner, and NASENI and Imose Technologies as device manufacturers, the scheme will provide 1,000 locally assembled laptops to eligible fellows across the country. At the launch ceremony in Abuja, 77 beneficiaries received their devices as part of the initial rollout.

What Officials Said

The event was chaired by the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, who was the chief launcher of the programme.

He said Nigeria’s digital economy can only grow when citizens have both the skills and the tools to compete.

“Nigeria’s digital economy can only thrive when our people have both the skills and the tools to succeed. Through C.L.I.C.K.D, we are helping qualifying Nigerians participate more fully in the opportunities created by the 3MTT initiative while strengthening local manufacturing through locally assembled devices,” Dr. Tijani said.

On his part, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CREDICORP, Engr. Uzoma Nwagba, said the scheme will turn digital devices from a barrier into an opportunity.

“C.L.I.C.K.D transforms digital devices from a barrier into an opportunity. By embedding affordable consumer credit into a national talent programme like 3MTT, starting with locally assembled laptops, we are giving qualifying Nigerians a responsible pathway to the tools they need to learn, work and earn, while advancing the Federal Government’s vision for industrial development and job creation,” Nwagba said.

How To Apply

CREDICORP said C.L.I.C.K.D is its flagship device financing programme and is open to working Nigerians nationwide, with the 3MTT programme serving as the launch partner for the first phase.

Interested persons can register through the official CREDICORP website at www.credicorp.ng.

The corporation also said the programme is designed to grow into a multi-partner initiative and has invited additional financial institutions, device manufacturers and technology vendors to join. It will continue to work with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), training institutions and other strategic partners to scale device financing across the 3MTT network and beyond.
